Cute Things I Found on the Internet

October 29th, 2005

online dialogueThese are a few of my favorite new finds:

• information about the clitoris
• pictures of vulvas
• more pictures of vulvas (and click on the link to the survey, too)
• hilarious sex-positive cursewords
• a very sexy sex ed site, with a focus on safer sex
• a really cool South and Southeast Asian sex resource center

And speaking of the really cool South and Southeast Asia Resource Centre on Sexuality, check out this message, sent to me from a friend:

“Action: Join the ‘Sexual Pleasure, Sexuality, and Rights’ Online
The South and Southeast Asia Resource Centre on Sexuality
**************************************************

The South and Southeast Asia Resource Centre on Sexuality is launching an electronic discussion forum on “Sexual Pleasure, Sexuality, and Rights” from October 17 - December 16, 2005.

The South and Southeast Asia Resource Centre on Sexuality is hosting an eight-week electronic discussion on “Sexual Pleasure, Sexuality, and Rights”. By engaging a broad range of participants, including activists, academics, practitioners, students, policymakers, and programme developers, we hope this e-forum will provide a space to debate, dialogue, and contribute to the discourse on sexual pleasure and rights.

Starting October 17, the e-forum will feature several areas of discussion. The e-forum discussion will be broken up into four main sub-topics. Every two weeks, the e-forum will highlight a different subtopic. Major themes will include discussing and debating issues around sexual pleasure and language and terms, the feminist debate, boundaries and limits, regulation and censorship, rights, how to incorporate into programming, power dynamics, disability, and how sexual pleasure relates to wellbeing, to name a few!

We encourage you to sign up to this online discussion. We would also be grateful for your assistance in disseminating this invitation to your networks and colleagues.

To join this e-discussion list, please go to http://www.asiasrc.org/pleasureforum and fill out the subscription form. You will receive a confirmation email and your login ID and password and
the discussion will begin on Monday, October 17, 2005.

To learn more about this initiative, please visit the website at http://www.asiasrc.org, where you access a range of resources related to sexuality.

We look forward to having a lively and thought-provoking discussion!”

Even though the 17th had passed by the time I got the message, I joined — and you can join the discussion too!
