Getting Bi Events

Before I got published in Waking Up American, there was Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World, which featured the long version of this essay of mine. I’m excited to announce that this book is getting more and more attention! Here’s a message I just got from the editor, Robyn Ochs:

Dear Getting Bi contributor,

There have already been three book celebrations—in Boston (USA), Sydney (Australia) and Toronto (Canada). Events are also scheduled on October 27th in Cambridge, MA, USA at the Center for New Words, and on November 1st in Sydney, NSW, Australia at gleebooks.

We will be doing several book events for Getting Bi at upcoming conferences. At these events, various authors will read their essays. We’ll also sell copies of Getting Bi, and celebrate this amazing grassroots project.

WE’RE HOPING THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE ONE OR MORE OF THESE EVENTS:

November 4-6 Transcending Boundaries Conference (Hartford, CT, USA) The book event will be on Saturday the 5th.

November 9-13 Creating Change Conference (Oakland, CA, USA) The book event will be on Friday the 11th, in the evening.

June 15-18, 2006 9th International Conference on Bisexuality (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

July 26-29, 2006 Right to be Different Conference (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) Big international LGBT conference.

Please consider attending these conferences. They’re amazing events. And you can come meet other authors from Getting Bi, as well as other fabulous and interesting bi folks.
