I am (not impressed with) Beowulf

Don’t see Beowulf. Despite the fact that it features (out bisexual) actor Angelina Jolie, this film is a true disappointment. I watched it with my fiancee recently, at the Imax, in 3-D, and was shocked to discover that (a.) it’s a cartoon, and (b.) Angelina’s character is voiced by someone else! I went to see it because I thought I would see — and hear — her, and instead I saw a drawing that was meant to look like her, with someone else’s voice behind it. Sad.
It has inspired me to read the book, though. And to read more fiction in general. I am currently looking forward to the winter break, when I have 5 weeks off from school. Time to read and, even better, to write. I’m working on a couple of different writing assignments from various editors. Stay tuned, and I will keep you posted on when things come out in print…
