Trans Women of Color, Visibility and Violence

Thanks to my Mom for sending me a link to this New York Times article about a transwoman in India who is doing her thing and doing it well!

At the same time, there has been a lot of violence against and murders of teens of color who transgress gender boundaries, from the student in Oxnard, CA, to this. Senseless and sad. When will it end?
