London, SF, DC, and Points Inbetween
April 13th, 2008What a whirlwind couple of weeks it’s been — and continues to be! I got to go to the London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, where my fiancee was showing two of her latest films, The Insomniacs and Godspeed. Then, we had a show of her films at the fabulous Femina Potens art gallery when we got back to San Francisco. And now, this week, I have two speaking engagements, one at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, and the other at Baltimore’s Towson University. The lovely folks at Towson are flying me to DC for that event, which happens this coming Friday. DC is one of my favorite cities, so I am totally looking forward to that!
If you’re interested in booking me for a speaking engagement, please send me an email at amy @ amyandre . com. To learn more about my work as a public speaker, click here.
I want to say “hi” to all the amazing people I met in London. In particular: Naz, Scratch, Teht, and Irene, thank you for your hospitality and warm welcome! (And thanks to Jin for introducing me to them.)
Next, on two completely unrelated notes, check out these articles I found. The only “Eww Factor” in this article is the blatant (and dangerous) sex-phobia; I wonder what anal sex educator Tristan Taormino would have to say. And this article made me eager to watch the documentary, “Meeting David Wilson.” It sounds complicated and fascinating…
Finally, the biggest shock for me recently was seeing who lost on the latest elimination round of America’s Next Top Model. [Spoiler alert] Can you believe Claire got sent home?!
