The Fun Never Stops…

April 27th, 2008

What a fun week it’s been! I got to hang out at Kink.com headquarters recently, where the affiliate program manager, Terry Mundell, took me on a tour. Thanks, Terry! Kink is located at the historic Armory building in San Francisco’s Mission District, a gorgeous castle-y looking place. I got to say hello to founder and CEO Peter Acworth — what a treat! He has created an amazing company with a deeply conscientous style.
I also attended a very special event on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley. It was the Queer People of Color conference, organized by students, with support from the Gender Equity Resource Center. I learned a lot!
Finally, I got to have lunch with Lynda, one of the leaders of Swirl, a national organization for mixed-race people. This fabulous org., which is all volunteer-run btw, is building community and bringing people together. Gotta love that!
