Brown University Gets It
December 14th, 2008Kudos to Brown University for spreading the word about bisexual health!
Did you know that bi-identified people are more likely than monosexuals to suffer from depression, alcoholism, mental illness, and domestic violence victimization, among other health/ safety/ well-being issues? When it comes to the intersection of health and sexual orientation, bisexuals are at the bottom of the proverbial barrel. Whether we’re bi, bi allies, or health care providers to bisexual clients and patients, we all need to be aware of the state of bisexual health.
If you’re a Brown University student or alum, thank your school for their good work. If you’re a student or alum of any other school, encourage that school to follow Brown’s lead.
