Jews
February 1st, 2009First of all, according to what I’ve learned on Facebook, tomorrow is worldwide Hug a Jew Day. So, I expect to see lots of hugs out there, people.
Second, have you noticed that there have been a spate of Holocaust movies lately? I find a very disturbing trend going on, in that we see whites saving Jews, whites playing Jews, and whites playing Jews who save Jews. This revisionist crap is really problematic, not only because it seems geared towards alleviating white guilt in an unproductive way, but also because any attempt to depict the Holocaust is inherently flawed. What do you think?
Lastly, on a very different, yet still Jew-related note, I’m very pleased and proud to announce that my brother, actor/ comedian Eric Andre, was named one of the Top 100 Jews, by Heeb Magazine. Quite an honor!
If you ever want to see hilarious cerebral comedy with a quirky edge, look no further than my brother’s unique comedy stylings. He’s based in LA, but he travels all over the country performing, so keep an eye out for him to come to a town near you…
